Experience the magic of the Disney World Gingerbread Resort Hop — a festive, free holiday adventure using Disney transportation.
Every holiday season, Walt Disney World transforms into a festive wonderland — and one of the most beloved (and delicious!) traditions is the Disney World Gingerbread Resort Hop. From life-sized houses to intricate edible villages, these creations smell just as magical as they look.
The best part? You don’t have to be staying at a Disney resort to experience them! With a little planning, you can hop around property using Disney’s complimentary transportation system — no park ticket required.
🍪 What Is the Disney World Gingerbread Resort Hop?
The Disney World Gingerbread Resort Hop is a self-guided holiday tour that lets you explore Disney’s famous gingerbread displays across multiple resorts — all connected by free transportation options like the monorail, Skyliner, boats, and buses.
It’s one of my favorite seasonal experiences because it’s:
🎟️ Completely free
🚌 Easily accessible via Disney transportation
🍭 Full of sweet surprises and festive photo ops
This year’s event runs from mid-November through January 1st, so you have plenty of time to experience it — whether you’re staying on property or just visiting for the day.
🍫 A Delicious Disney Tradition Returns

The gingerbread displays have been a Disney holiday staple for decades — with pastry chefs working months in advance to bake, build, and decorate these edible masterpieces.
While the Grand Floridian’s iconic gingerbread house won’t be returning for the 2025 season, there’s exciting news:🎉 Wilderness Lodge’s gingerbread display is back for the first time since 2019!
This cozy, rustic lodge setting — filled with glowing lights, evergreen garlands, and a massive Christmas tree — makes it one of the most charming stops on your route.

🏰 Plan Your Own Disney World Gingerbread Resort Hop
With a little planning (and maybe a peppermint latte for the road!), you can explore multiple resorts in one day — all without a park ticket. Whether you’re staying at a Disney resort or visiting for the day, it’s one of the most magical (and underrated) ways to celebrate the holidays at Walt Disney World.
So tell me — which gingerbread display are you most excited to see this year?
